Verified drivers, couriers and fleet partners for mobility platforms

Most ride-hailing and delivery platforms onboard drivers through an app, and many never meet them. RDCPASS lets you check the driver’s identity against the national register and compare a selfie with their registered photo before the first trip. Ticketing and fleet businesses use the same register to name tickets and vet operators.

  • Driver and courier onboarding with a face match
  • Verification by driving-licence number
  • Fleet operators checked by RCCM, ID NAT or NIF

The challenges

Passengers want to know who is driving

Someone getting into a car, or handing over a parcel, is counting on the platform to know who the driver or courier is.

Accounts get lent or resold

A verified driver account can end up with someone else. Without a new check, the platform has no way to tell.

Fleet partners are slow to vet

Operators who supply vehicles and drivers have to be real, registered companies. Checking that by hand takes time.

How RDCPASS helps

01

Driver and courier onboarding

Check each applicant against their certified identity using an RDCPASS ID, national ID or driving-licence number, then confirm with a selfie that they hold it.

02

Right person behind the wheel

Ask for a short selfie when a driver or courier starts a shift and match it to the verified identity. A lent or resold account fails the check.

03

Named ticketing

Attach long-distance bus, train, boat or event tickets to a certified identity. Travellers can sign in with RDCPASS and book in a few taps.

04

Fleet operator verification

Before signing with a transport company or fleet partner, look it up by RCCM, ID NAT or NIF and see who its officers and beneficial owners are.

Frequently asked questions

Can drivers verify with their driving licence?+

Yes. KYC Validation accepts the driving-licence number as an identifier and confirms the certified identity behind it. The RDCPASS ID, national ID, passport and CENI voter card work too.

How do we stop drivers lending their accounts?+

Ask for a selfie at the start of each shift or before a trip. Face Recognition compares it with the verified identity, and only the account holder can go online.

Can we onboard a whole fleet at once?+

Yes. You can send driver lists in batches of up to 10,000 records. Each record is charged at the lower batch rate, and results are sent to your system when they are ready.

Which billing model suits a mobility platform?+

Growing platforms tend to start on Pay as you go, with a prepaid wallet topped up by M-Pesa, Orange Money, Airtel Money, card or bank transfer. Larger operators move to the Enterprise plan and receive one monthly invoice in USD or CDF.
