Identity checks for hiring, payroll and contractors

Employers, recruitment agencies and payroll providers use RDCPASS to check people and companies against the national register. You confirm a candidate is who their CV says before making an offer, and each name on the payroll belongs to someone real. Contractors are checked as registered businesses before anyone signs.

  • Candidate identity checked before the offer
  • Ghost employees removed from payroll
  • Contractors verified by RCCM, ID NAT or NIF

The challenges

Candidates using false identities

An employer who hires someone under a borrowed or invented name takes on the risk of theft and legal liability. The damage to its reputation can last longer than either.

Ghost employees on the payroll

Some salaries go to people who do not exist or who no longer work for you. The loss repeats every month until someone checks.

Contractors nobody has checked

Subcontractors and staffing agencies are often taken on without anyone confirming that they are registered businesses.

How RDCPASS helps

01

Candidate identity checks

Check each shortlisted candidate against their certified identity. A selfie then confirms that the person in the interview holds that identity, which matters most when you hire remotely.

02

Payroll identity verification

Re-check your whole workforce in batches of up to 10,000 records. Asking employees for a selfie as well ties each salary to a real person who is actually there.

03

Contractor and staffing-agency verification

Before signing with a subcontractor or staffing agency, verify it by RCCM, ID NAT or NIF and see who its officers and beneficial owners are.

04

Employee sign-in with RDCPASS

Employees sign in to your HR portal with RDCPASS and confirm with a face check on their phone. Nobody has another password to forget.

Connects to the channels you already run

Your app, website, branches and back office call RDCPASS through a single integration. The services you choose send back verified answers your staff can act on.

Your outcomes

  • Candidate identity checked before the offer

Regulation & compliance

  • Each check records its purpose and is logged. If an employee or auditor asks why and when their identity was verified, you have the answer.
  • Each application receives only the data scopes it is approved for, which helps you meet your data-protection obligations to staff.
  • A face check always carries a stated reason and is audited. None runs without a recorded purpose.
  • If a hiring or payroll review turns up identity fraud, you can report it to the national fraud desk through Fraud Reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Which documents can candidates verify with?+

Their RDCPASS ID, passport, CENI voter card, driving licence or national ID. KYC Validation then confirms the certified identity behind the document.

How do we find ghost employees?+

Submit your payroll in batches of up to 10,000 records. Any record that does not match a certified identity is flagged, and you can ask the employee concerned to confirm with a selfie.

Can we verify contractors and staffing agencies?+

Yes. KYB Verification checks the company by RCCM, ID NAT or NIF and returns its officers and beneficial owners.

Which billing model suits an employer?+

If you hire occasionally, Pay as you go with a prepaid wallet is usually enough. Large employers and payroll providers tend to take the Enterprise plan, which means one monthly invoice in USD or CDF and negotiated volume pricing.
